I’m often asked “how do you define a soulpreneur?”

IN MY OPINION, THERE ARE TWO CATEGORIES OF ENTREPRENEURS:

(Note: this is a bit of a generalization, and one’s not better than the other.)

The first category is entrepreneurs who spot an opportunity to solve a problem and make money. They create a business, put a team in place, and likely go on to sell it and/or start another business.

The business(es) aren’t necessarily their “life’s work”, but more of a mental challenge to solve, and likely a financial legacy to leave.

The other category is entrepreneurs who feel a deeper sense of purpose, and want to use their brand & business as a vehicle of self-expression. They are in it for more than just money (and may also struggle with making money because their work is very personal); they are in it because they feel a deeper calling in their soul, and would feel unfulfilled if they don’t answer that call.

Along their journey of entrepreneurship, they realize that the more of themselves they bring to the table, the more successful they are (the hardest, easiest thing one could ever do).

Here are 5 signs you’re a soulpreneur:

1. You view your business as a mirror that helps you see deeper into yourself; as an opportunity to heal, learn, and grow on a personal level.

2. You lean on both your intelligence and intuition when making decisions.

3. You have a big vision and deep sense of purpose in your work, and believe you were put here for a reason.

4. You want to make a meaningful impact on your community or the world; you value generosity and heart-centered service.

5. You want your brand & business to be a place where you can bring your full self forward – your message, your truth, your heart (even though it feel scary to be seen).

Ultimately, a soulpreneur is an entrepreneur who leads with both soul and strategy, creating a business that fulfills their life’s mission while uplifting those it touches.

I’ve seen soulpreneurs in every industry (and many who don’t even know they are one!). My deepest wish is that we all step into our full power and magnificence, and change the world in the way only we can.
